Meet Our People

KC Gonzales is The Children’s Hour Inc’s board President, as well as a licensed teacher and currently leads the IT department at Alvarado Elementary School. She is the mom of two daughters and brings her technology knowledge and skills to our board, and is a great problem solver and strategist.

Evan Moulson is the board Vice-President, and has been involved with the Children’s Hour since he was 11 years old when he was invited to help out with a show at the Rio Grande Corn Maze. Thankfully, he was able to successfully navigate the maze and made it back to become a longtime cohost and engineer for the Children’s Hour. He now lives in Boston, Mass., USA with his wife, Hannah, and the apple of their eyes: their cat, Batman the Wondercat. Even though he lives across the country, he still drops by to say hello, watch the levels, and help Katie out on the (mixing) board when he’s in Albuquerque. As a member of the Children’s Hour Board, Evan is involved with fundraising and governance.

Molly Madden is a retired school teacher, a regular volunteer at the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Project, and is now a grandmother. She is a master of good governance and is currently chairing our governance committee.

Sasha Menendez is a home school educator and part-time wellness worker at La Montanita Co-op. Sasha is also a volunteer at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, the Kiwanis Learning Garden, and the Desert Oasis Teaching Garden at Academy High School. His boys, Zen and Amadeus, are on the Kids Crew for the Children’s Hour. He feels passionate about doing positive things within the community and feels honored to serve as a board member for a show like The Children’s Hour that educates and entertains both children and adults in marvelous and beneficial ways.

Sonya Priestley is the board Secretary/Treasurer, a Certified Public Accountant, and has decades of leadership in non profits in New Mexico including United Way, Saranam, and many others. Sonya was awarded “Fundraiser of the Year” at the National Philanthropy Day in Albuquerque in 2018, and is the Chair of United Way’s Campaign, and is United Way Board President in 2020.

Lonnie Anderson is our newest elected Board member. He is Jicarilla Apache, Mexhika and Chichimeca, an award winning Film Maker, Photographer, Creative Director, Designer, and organic farmer who lives in Albuquerque with his two daughters and love of his life. Lonnie is known for his exceptional Valentines that he makes annually for his wife, Anne. His extensive media experience is a boon to our Board of Directors.

Katie Stone is an ex-officio member of our Board of Directors. She is the Executive Director of The Children’s Hour Inc. and was a volunteer producer of The Children’s Hour for more than 17 years at KUNM. She started the nonprofit for the program in 2018. She has decades in business administration, and lives and works on a solar-powered organic farm near the Rio Grande in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Katie started producing radio more than 30 years ago at WDGC fm in Downers Grove, IL.
