This type of storytelling allows our imagination to become immersed in other worldly places, with advanced technologies, on exoplanets, or flying through space, and using actual science to help us believe the impossible. With excerpts of famous works of "Sci-Fi" like The War of the Worlds, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Slaughterhouse Five, and original pieces recorded by masterful storytellers, we immerse ourselves in futuristic fantasy.

Presidential Elections

This time on The Children's Hour, we learn all about how Presidential Elections work. We feature New Mexico Secretary of State, Maggie Toulouse Oliver who walks us through the election process. Then we learn all about the Electoral College with an actual elector, Dr. Pamelya Herndon. Why do we have this indirect way of voting for President and Vice President? This week on The Children’s Hour, we learn about Indigenous Peoples Day. The Post Office

On this episode of The Children's Hour, we learn all about the Post Office from the American Postal Workers Union Local 380 President, Ken Fajardo. Mr. Fajardo has worked at the United States Postal Service for over 30 years, and explains what happens when a letter goes through the mail. Unpolluting Earth

This episode of The Children's Hour focuses on pollution, which is a problem around the globe, but there are ways to un-pollute dirty and contaminated places. How we do that is explained by chemist and journalist Dr. Marina Philip, and we check in with mycologist Peter McCoy from the world's first school for mycology, Mycologos about how mushrooms can transform some of our most toxic pollutants into building materials and more. We also hear from the kids in the Extinction Diaries about the problem of plastic pollution worldwide. Kids can help solve this international crisis and we learn how.
