Celebrate the year in kids’ radio and music with The Children’s Hour Best of 2025. Hear favorite moments from the Kids Crew’s interviews and shows, along with songs from Grammy-nominated children’s artists. It’s a joyful look back at a year filled with learning, laughter, and discovery.
The Children’s Hour wraps up the year by celebrating the best of 2025 in kids’ music and radio moments. The Kids Crew and Katie Stone share some of their favorite highlights from this year’s episodes and music releases. The show features clips from conversations that taught us new things, made us laugh, and inspired us to learn more about the world around us.
Listeners hear part of our visit to the Zuni Eagle Aviary in New Mexico, where the Kids Crew met environmental technicians who care for rescued eagles that can no longer live in the wild. We also revisit the episode Many Kinds of Minds to hear Dr. Martin Spinelli from the University of Cambridge explain how artificial intelligence already plays a role in our daily lives. Another highlight comes from our show What Is Justice?, where Maria Martinez Sanchez from the ACLU of New Mexico describes how the judicial branch protects our rights and keeps our government balanced.
Between these memorable segments, we share the best new children’s music of the year, including songs from Grammy nominees for Best Children’s Album. From joyful sing-alongs to thoughtful ballads, the playlist reflects the creativity, kindness, and curiosity that filled 2025. We’ll hear a few of our favorite new tracks, reminding us that great music and great stories can teach, comfort, and connect us all.
This episode was written and produced by Katie Stone, with production help from McKenzie Graunke and Thaniel Lentz.
Our theme music is by C.K. Barlow. The Children’s Hour is produced by The Children’s Hour Inc., a New Mexico nonprofit organization, and distributed by Native Voice One, the Native American Radio Network.
