Dragons have been part of stories for thousands of years. On this episode of The Children’s Hour, the Kids Crew learns about dragons with author Mari Mancusi. Together, they explore how these legendary creatures appear in stories from around the world and why people continue to enjoy them.

The Kids Crew looks at many different types of dragons. Some are fierce and breathe fire. Others are calm, wise, or helpful. In some cultures, dragons are symbols of strength and good fortune. In others, they guard treasure or protect special places. Kids learn how these differences reflect the cultures where the stories began.

Mari Mancusi shares how dragons show up in modern books and how authors think about these creatures when writing stories. The conversation helps listeners understand how stories change over time while keeping familiar ideas.

The episode also includes a Kids Crew book review. Keaton from our Kids Crew shares his thoughts about a favorite book and explains what made it enjoyable. Listeners hear how reading helps people understand stories and discover new ideas.
