Spend and hour with the Okee Dokee Brothers, as we explore their music, roots, and story in an exclusive Children’s Hour Kids Crew interview onsite at the Lensic in Santa Fe with Nina from our Kids Crew. Winners of five Parents’ Choice awards, a Grammy and frequent guests on PBS Kids, you’ll be singing along with the Okee Dokee Brothers and dreaming of canoe trips on long rivers. It’s a musical celebration of folk and bluegrass on this podcast for kids.
Our guests are the Okee Dokee Brothers, who spoke with Kids Crew member Nina at the Lensic in Santa Fe, New Mexico before a sold-out concert for kids and families. Nina learns what inspired their collaborations, and how their adventures outdoors play directly into their music.
The Okee Dokee Brothers have been nominated for a Grammy award multiple times, and won for their release Can You Canoe? which captured the feelings and pacing of their extraordinary paddling trip down the Mississippi River.
We also learn about their PBS Kids collaborations with Brambletown, and the powerful messages of hope, resilience and love of nature that flow through all of their songs.
Sing-along with us and the Okee Dokee Brothers in this musical celebration of folk and bluegrass for kids.
